What is LASIK?

LASIK stands for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis. It fixes your refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

Suppose your eyeball becomes longer or shorter than its normal size due to your lifestyle or natural reasons. In that case, it gets affected by conditions such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) or astigmatism. Hence, LASIK gives you the opportunity to become spectacle-free by reshaping your cornea using controlled laser pulses. This involves the creation of a corneal flap.

LASIK has been trusted by millions for more than two decades, ever since the FDA gave its approval. The technology is safe in your eyes and has the potential to enhance your vision in the future. Not to forget, it's a 20-minute walk-in walk-out procedure.
