Eligibility
- MD/MS/DNB or PG Diploma in the concerned specialty
- The PG Diploma candidates must have worked one year in a PG center institution and have submitted a project /dissertation
- Candidates who have studied in countries outside India and passed medical PG Examination are also eligible to join provided they produce the following certificates
- Equivalent certificates issued by MCI, New Delhi
- Temporary registration certificate issued by the MCI, New Delhi
- Age not exceeding 45 years of the year of admission

I applied for the one-year Cataract fellowship program at Sharat Maxivision eye hospital for which I was interviewed and fortunate enough to gain placement.
All the Consultants were very friendly and ready to share their experience via interactive sessions and professional tricks during the surgery.

I have worked as a fellow in Phacoemulsification and refractive surgery for 1 year at Sharat Maxivision. I have come across one of the best teachers here. There is no other place which teaches you the basics of surgery. Not only did I enhance my skills, but I also acquired a variety of new techniques from various surgeons. Had a good exposure of other specialities especially cornea , glaucoma and retina.
The consultants were very supportive and were always ready to solve our queries. Also got exposed to the community work, camps and the vision centre visits to rural areas which made us understand our patients better. The academics in terms of regular classes ,case presentations and journal clubs have been very helpful.
This place has been a blessing and I will forever be indebted to my teachers here. I have not only improved my skills as a surgeon but have also evolved as a better clinician and a human being. Special thanks to Sharat sir , Murthy sir and Suresh sir for the constant support and guidance.
